I just read your last post - I really don't know what to say about such a traumatic experience. I'm glad you escaped physically unscathed, and I understand that witnessing such a thing can be one of the worst things ever.
mebeth- I've considered taking down the post. It's a bit intense for a blog. But it's how I felt. I've never really witnessed anything like that before. I worry that her relatives might read it and be offended. I don't want to add to their suffering... I read her guestbook (online with her obit,) and it sounds like she was a really giving, wonderful person. I wish I knew why she ended her life, but even more, why she did it in such a way. The thing is, people die everyday in tramatic circumstances and I am almost embarassed at how much it affected me. For now, I'm going to leave it up, but I'm moving on with my New York life...
